Real-time timestamped chat for Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and any website. Free to install. Create an account to start chatting.
Features
Every message automatically stamps the current video time. Click any timestamp to jump straight to that moment.
Messages appear in seconds. Everyone watching the same URL shares the same chat room automatically.
Any website, any video player. EchoSend detects the video automatically and attaches to whatever you're watching.
Donors, creators, staff — assign any badge to any user. Shows up on all their messages, old and new.
Create an account to lock in your username permanently. Sign in on any device and keep your identity.
Typing in EchoSend won't accidentally pause your video or trigger player shortcuts. It just works.
Install
Click the download button and unzip the folder anywhere on your computer.
Go to chrome://extensions in your browser and enable Developer mode using the toggle in the top right.
Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped echosend-extension folder.
Visit Netflix, YouTube, or any site with a video. Click the ◎ tab on the right edge of the screen, create an account, and start chatting.
Firefox
Click the Firefox download button and save the zip file anywhere on your computer. Unzip it.
Go to about:debugging in Firefox, then click This Firefox in the left sidebar.
Click Load Temporary Add-on and select the manifest.json file inside the unzipped folder.
Open any streaming site and click the ◎ tab on the right edge of the screen.
Firefox removes temporary extensions every time it restarts. To make it permanent, you need Firefox Developer Edition or Firefox Nightly — install whichever you prefer. Open about:config, search for xpinstall.signatures.required, set it to false, then install the extension via about:addons → the gear icon → Install Add-on From File and select the zip. It will then survive restarts. We're working on getting EchoSend listed on the Firefox Add-ons store to make this permanent for everyone.
Self-hosting
By default EchoSend connects to our server. But if you want full control — your own data, your own rules, your own community — you can host the API yourself on any PHP hosting.
Download the EchoSend API package and upload it to your PHP hosting — any shared hosting with PHP 7.4+ works.
Visit yoursite.com/api/setup.php in your browser. Choose JSON or MySQL storage, set a server name, and create your admin account. Takes about 60 seconds.
In the EchoSend sign in screen, expand Custom server and enter your API URL. Everyone who signs in through your server shares the same community.
Running WordPress? Install the EchoSend WordPress plugin to automatically sync user roles to badges. Donors, members, staff — managed through WooCommerce or any role plugin, reflected in chat automatically.
Free. No subscription. No tracking. Community moderated — no central censorship, no one reading your messages.
